When prospecting for new business on the phone or in cold visits it is important to remember that numbers have no memory. Each door is just the same as the next and the past experience cannot hurt the future experiences unless you allow it. A no is a no. I go for 100 no’s in a single day. Some days I hit the jackpot and everyone says no. Most days there are some that say yes and those yes’s make all the difference.

Next time you are tempted to quit early remember that “NO” has no memory and neither do numbers on a Dun & Bradstreet call list.
